Acts 17:22-34

In acts 17, Paul is speaking to the atheneans, and when he says "i know you are very religious" he means they worship many gods. While Paul was looking at the idols, he saw an idol marked "the unknown God" , his God was the true God, and Paul came to Athens to make this unknown God known. Then he basicly goes into detail about God's personality, and how to worship him and love him. And when he came to the part about Jesus raising from the dead some scoffed, or laughed, at him, and didnt believe, but some wanted to know more.

I love this passage because Paul goes out of his way to meet the Atheneans where they are at. He talks to them about what they already believe and then relates that to who God truly is. I have found that this works well when talking with people about God because it lets them know that you are not judging them.

Brandon, where is somewhere in your life where perhaps you can work harder to meet people where they are at in their faith?
