John 10

In John 10, Jesus talks about the people being like sheep and he is the shepherd. He states that we are called by his voice only, and we should flee from anyone else. He also says he can lay down his life, but no one can take it from him. While he was on the cross, he gave up his life, he did not die of suffication like the others. When he says that he is the gate, this goes back to him being the way, and only through him can we enter God's "sheep pen".
